Caring Nature – Decision Support System

Scope

Scope Setting

In this phase the User will define in detail the object of the LCA, covered system and the unit of analysis in line with the goal definition. In the provided tool the User will answer a series of questions that will enable to clearly define the scope of the LCA analysis defined by ISO 14044.

Note: When Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (E-LCA), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), and Life Cycle Costing (LCC) are conducted within the same study, the Goal and Scope Definition shall be aligned and consistently applied across the three assessments. This alignment ensures that environmental, social, and economic results refer to the same system, functional unit, scenarios, geographic boundary, and time frame, thereby enabling integrated interpretation and informed decision-making.
